purventus Luftreinigungsanlagen mit UV-Licht gegen Covid19 Much fuss about clean air - Prime Minister at our network member purventus

Air purification systems are an important issue in pandemic times, and schools and nursing homes in particular are looking for solutions. But so far there is no system that is used nationwide, although there are viable technologies that destroy germs instead of filtering them. Our network member, Purventus GmbH, has developed an air purification system that cleans indoor air and eliminates 98 percent of all bacteria, yeasts and viruses, including SARS-CoV2 viruses.

On July 7, the Prime Minister of Thuringia, Bodo Ramelow, visited the new business premises of purventus to exchange ideas with the specialist for clean air. www.purventus.de

Thuringian Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow at purventus GmbH

Background:

When Bodo Ramelow comes to purventus GmbH at the Erfurt GVZ freight village on July 7, 2021 at 2:30 p.m., he wants to get an on-site impression of the company's air purification systems. After all, although virus contamination in enclosed spaces has been a recurring topic of discussion since the pandemic, there is still no effective system in most classrooms, care facilities or offices.

Where does the problem lie? Are the decision-makers in politics and local government uncertain and do not make decisions so as not to be accused of having wasted money afterwards? Or is there a lack of information?

Bodo Ramelow is now looking for a direct exchange of experience, because purventus has developed an effective air purification system with UV light that is suitable for everyday use and promises to use the power of the sun to reduce the risk of spreading and infection by viruses and germs in closed rooms to a minimum.

Effectively destroying viruses instead of filtering them

Common air purifiers use HEPA filters, which only filter viruses and germs, but do not kill them. The purventus GmbH air purification system works without filters and eliminates viruses with the help of ozone-free UV emitters in the wavelength of 254 nanometers. The Light Technology Institute of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology certifies that the purventus systems reduce the germ load of the room air by more than 98 percent for bacteria, yeasts and germs, including SARS-CoV-2.

The systems operate quietly and without harmful byproducts. The air of a large classroom or even a fitness studio can thus be exchanged five times an hour without any problems. The purventus units for such room dimensions are the size of a refrigerator and mobile thanks to rollers. Another special feature is that the operating and maintenance costs are extremely low.

Sustainability includes low maintenance costs

"What good is an air purifier whose fan circulates a room volume of 1,000 cubic meters in an hour, but does so with the volume of a vacuum cleaner and whose filters also have to be changed weekly - at worst as hazardous waste," purventus Managing Director Karlheinz Krenz points out. "We have deliberately refrained from using filter systems such as HEPA filters, because filters do not destroy the viruses, but only store them. If these filters are not replaced regularly, they themselves become a safety risk and increase the health risks for users. In addition, HEPA filters are expensive, so the maintenance costs are very high if you keep the necessary filter changes. And these can be necessary after just one week of operation."

The purventus air purification systems are maintenance-free for 10,000 hours of operation. With a daily operation of eight hours, this corresponds to about three and a half years.

Also for integration into existing ventilation systems

The purventus air purifiers are available as a mobile UV system and can also be integrated as a module into existing ventilation systems.

The mobile purPowerStation was presented for the first time at pro.vention 2020 in Erfurt, where the prime minister also saw the system. Since the end of November 2020, the mobile air purifiers with a purification capacity of up to 2,000 cubic meters per hour have been successfully used in yoga studios, DEHOGA Thuringia training rooms and medical centers. Recently, minibuses have also been equipped with such power-saving, filterless air purifiers.

The know-how of purventus is based on decades of experience. For more than 20 years, the company has been successfully developing, designing and manufacturing UV-based systems for exhaust air purification in the catering industry. Fast food chains and the hotel industry in particular use the efficient systems. The permanently integrated systems have been used worldwide for years via distributors and partner companies.

Now the demand for air purification systems for different applications is increasing. That is why the managing director of purventus GmbH has been looking for a larger production facility and will move from the company headquarters in Klettbach to the Erfurt GVZ freight village before the end of June 2021. Karlheinz Krenz will also receive the Prime Minister there on July 7, 2021.
