Series production will start in a few weeks
Thorey Gera Textilveredelung is part of the consortium of companies that developed the mask prototype certified according to the FFP standard. They manufacture components to implement a protective mask according to medical standards from material development to series production.
Soon, 5000 masks per day and shift will be produced in Gera. Andreas Ludwig, managing director of Thorey Textilveredelung, says that it is planned to set up a three-shift system in the near future. The Ministry of Economics supports the establishment of the production in order to avoid future supply bottlenecks due to the dependence on Asia.
In addition to FFP masks, simple face masks from the roll and reusable surgical masks will also be produced.
